Reality on a Stick

Welcome to the new and always improving Reality on a Stick.

As some of you may have noticed, my focus has been shifting to more parenting and education posts of late. That’s a natural consequence of my current circumstances, I suppose, but it is also a conscious effort on my part. During the first 6 months of blogging, I experimented a lot with different types of media and posts on a fairly wide variety of topics. I also spent a lot of time combing the internet for examples of the kind of community I am trying to create. All of the evidence suggests that I need to be blogging more consistently on a core range of topics. Readers are more loyal when they have some idea of what to expect and when they know that the authors will be pumping out new material at a consistent pace.

And because I do not want to lose completely the comic and unpredictable mood that we have sometimes achieved, I will be opening a suggest a link button to allow readers to submit possible topics to be covered, and I will continue to invite submissions from guest contributors who will be doing their darndest to spice things up for you.

At the moment, I see my future posts hovering around the following topics:

Motivation

Autonomous Learning

Lifestyle Design and Management

Integrating New Technology to answer the needs of the above.

I’ve considered paring the list down a bit more, but there’s quite a lot of overlap among the various themes and in any case they represent the core issues that occuppy my mind for most of every day.
