If you’ve been paying attention, you will have noticed that I made some changes to the side bar. The changes are not drastic, and are simply an attempt to make this blog, and the stories that interest me, more accessible to more people.
Here are the two important additions to the side bar:
1) Subscribe button–The subscribe button
will take you to a page that prompts you to add this blog’s feed to the reader of your choice. If you are not currently using a feed aggregator (fancy word for software that collects stories from your favorite sites), I recommend Google Reader. Once you start using Google Reader, you’ll wonder why you ever read news and blogs any other way! If you like the content here, click on the Subscribe Here button and stay up on all the whacky stuff that I find worthy of blogging. You can unsubscribe at any time, but I’d much rather you didn’t.
2) Recent Stuff That I Found Interesting–This is a direct feed from my Google Reader Shared Items. Recently, I have only had time to blog about 5-10% of the stories that I find interesting, so if you like the topics here in general, you can subscribe to my shared items or simply read them as they appear on the sidebar of this blog.
Special thanks to Scobleizer and Graceful Flavor for walking their readers through these steps. That’s what rocks about blogging communities: they only work if the dialogue is open and the educational process ongoing.
Thanks and enjoy!
