I’ve been using StumbleUpon for a couple of years now and during that time–though I don’t stumble very often–I have found a handful of gems thanks to the SU community. Below are a couple of informative links on the topic of illegal drugs.
This site gives a simplified animated depiction of the effects of various illicit substances on your brain’s reward pathway. I hear arguments from lots of folks about why this or that drug is/isn’t addictive or whether drugs should/shouldn’t be legal, but very few people actually do their homework to find out how these drugs affect you physically and mentally, especially over extended use.
Generally speaking, I prefer to investigate the controversial issues with people who are open-minded enough to inform themselves before forming strong opinions.
Here’s a more thorough site which lists a variety of drugs and their effects on your body and mind. These are just to get you started:-)
